About Agnes Bend

Born Agnes Nyarkoa Mensah on November 20, 1997, Agnes Bend is a Ghanaian creative force actively reshaping the country's nightlife and entertainment industry. Originally from Saltpond, she was born and raised in Dansoman, Accra. Her strong educational foundation began at St. Michael’s School, continuing through Dansoman Community School, Machris Christian Academy, and Tarkwa Senior High School. She culminated her studies with a First Class Bachelor of Fine Arts (Majored in Dance and Minored in Music) from the University of Ghana, Legon.

Agnes began her career teaching dance to children immediately after high school. Her journey transformed during her early tertiary years when she worked as a dance instructor for various prestigious schools, including DPS International, Datus, Eastbridge International School, Aves International Academy, J-Clu, Giggled School of Music, Dance Academy and many more.

As her craft evolved, Agnes transitioned into a performing artist, sharing stages with top musicians such as Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Adina, Wendy Shay, Kofi Kinaata, Aerial, and many others. Her signature fusion of belly dance and fire performance created a viral moment with her first fire performance music video, opening doors to more bookings. She became the first Ghanaian female dancer recognized for this unique blend.

Today, Agnes operates as an Entertainment Consultant, Event Planner & Coordinator, Creative Director, Choreographer, Performer, Musician, and Model. She is the architect of a new genre she calls NightLife Dance (NLD), a movement that combines multiple genres to create a distinct performance identity. She is recognized as one of the pioneers of Ghana’s modern nightlife and events entertainment scene, having delivered over 1,000 performances since 2022. She expanded her performance expertise to include flow prop performance, light wings, Aerial Acts, and gogo-style dance. Several dancers she has trained are now thriving in the industry. She founded Gala Entertainment in 2022 and is the Founder of Aerial Ghana.

Agnes has established herself as a leader and creative director, and her expertise extends to pageant choreography, where she has worked with prestigious platforms including Miss Grand Ghana, Miss Supranational Ghana, Miss Muslimah Ghana, Miss Health Ghana, and contestants from Ghana’s Most Beautiful.

Since 2023, she has served as an external event planner and coordinator for the German Embassy. Her private clientele includes Edwina Nana Dokua Akufo-Addo (daughter of Former President Akufo-Addo) and Sharaf Mahama (son of Former President John Dramani Mahama), and she has performed for institutions like the Bank of Ghana, First National Bank, National Investment Bank, the EMY Awards, the West African Energy Summit, and the Mainstack Creative Mix. Her brand partnerships include Volcan Tequila, Monkey Shoulder, Hennessy Skyblaze, Axe, Volkswagen (VW) Germany, 19Keys (USA), Macbancy (Ghana), and Hector’s (UK).

Agnes is married to Jayleen Joshua Mack, an American rising artist. Her influence and clientele span prominent and influential spaces across Ghana, further reflecting her elite reputation and reach. In 2025, Agnes expanded her artistic journey into music, adding a new dimension to her already diverse career. While she previously gained experience through live band performances in school, her official journey as a recording artist began in 2025 with the release of her first single on August 26. She is widely celebrated for her creativity, discipline, versatility, and high professional standards. Known as Ghana’s first and best belly-and-fire dancer, she proudly carries the title “The Fire Girl.”
